Another fashion show in the books! fashionSPARK 2013

Eight adorable and truly brave little girls walked the (rectangular!) runway last night for the 2013 Johnson Lexus fashionSPARK Fashion Show. Under the city lights of Downtown Raleigh's City Plaza they showcased Little Grey Line's latest collection.

The crowd was huge and the weather was perfect.
Here's a photographic sampling of our experience.

Most photos were taken by Kimberly Alford who did an outstanding job capturing the reality of this surreal experience. Many, many thanks to her for her time, talent, and support!

Amazing hair by the enormously talented Alexa Dorsey of Boylan Heights Studio in Raleigh (aka Birdie's mom!)

Piper and her mom, Marin.

Avery Dean inspecting the top knot.
Poppy Jane and her mom, Erin.
My daughter, Adeline, getting her hair "puffed." The style couldn't have fit her personality more perfectly.
Then on to make up! I heard a variation of this quote many, many times during the night- "Is my make up still on?!?"  These girls loved primping.
Sweet Ella was so patient while waiting for her turn in the chair. I love Virginia with the mirror making sure she could see herself during the process.
Nothing beats being the designer AND a proud momma!

Silly faces are always a must.
The girls each brought a stuffed animal "friend" to put inside their suitcase to have with them on the runway. It was our little secret and I think it brought them a bit of comfort to know they were not alone.

Admiring the "big models."

Most of these girls were also in the Redress Raleigh Eco-Fashion show back in March, so it was their second fashion show experience. They clearly have this "model" thing down pat!

Adeline Grey Moore- the namesake of Little Grey Line.

Avery- "The Natural"- look how confident and brave she was!
Ella, Poppy, and Virginia (with Birdie in the background waiting for her turn to walk).

Collecting the girls for our final walk around the runway. As you can imagine, they were very excited (and distracted) to see themselves on the big screen behind us.

It was such an honor to be a part of this event.  Not only was it a tremendous platform on which to share Little Grey Line, but it gave our girls an experience I hope they will never forget.

Adeline and her daddy (who I could not have done this show without!) headed home in her pajamas after the runway.

Ready for the runway (again!): fashionSPARK 2013

Get ready, Raleigh! Little Grey Line will present its latest collection on Saturday, September 14th as part of the 2013 SPARKcon fashionSPARK fashion show.
As their website explains, this will be the 8th year for the fashionSPARK fashion show- known widely as the largest and most popular annual fashion event in the Triangle.

The fashionSPARK fashion show is part of SPARKcon's 4-day showcase of creativity and is scheduled to begin at 8:00pm with models walking down an outdoor runway under the city lights.

Little Grey Line will present eight looks modeled by 4-5 year old beauties who will surely steal the show. Here's a sneak peek of some of the fabrics and details that will be shown.

The fashionSPARK fashion show is FREE and open to the public. We'd love to have your support and see you cheering in the crowd!
